History is very important! It shows us what can happen when we don’t as citizens pay attention to what is going on in our own backyard. I know more about that camp and never lived in Oakland County or Michigan for that manner, than what I just read on it. My Grandfather told me all about the Black Legion and the Worker Camp, he was a big reason that 86 people in the Michigan government were exposed. I have orginal articles from The Pontiac Daily press from September 1, 1936. These articles validate my Grandfather’s knowledge because he is in several of them.
