Detroit on Summer Vacation – Tonight at the Mackenzie House
Henry Ford’s vacation home in Fort Myers, FL.
It’s summer! It’s vacation! It’s Detroit History! And it’s free!
Tonight — that’s Friday, August 17 — as part of Preservation Detroit’s Third Friday lecture series, I’ll be speaking about Detroit history attractions beyond Detroit. We’ll cover canoe trips, shipwrecks, mountain hikes, historic homes, art collections and of course cemeteries across the nation that call back to the history of our city.
Starts at 7:00 pm at the beautiful Mackenzie House. Pretty informal. Pretty fun. I think you’ll like it.
More info here! Happy Friday!
