Davzen Pingree, it is — for now.
I’ve heard on the street that a phantom Pingree has been engaged and observed quietly campaigning about the Corridor. He may be here to pick up where he left off — looking for a 5th term as mayor of Detroit.
He holds his liquor and is no damned fool, I understand.
Keep an eye out.

Bing for sure has the right combination of acumen and celebrity, and although he really hasn’t channeled the latter since his basketball days, he is apparently getting tight with the President.

If he were just a little more charismatic/eccentric, I’d say it’s a recipe for Pingree-scale success. Davezen Bingree. I like it.

Oh wow, that’s right! I have some early memories of tagging along with you once in a while, including a vividly remembered feeling of total terror upon learning that the People Mover was operated by a computer instead of a driver.

I particularly like this piece because I spend so much time when I was a law student at Detroit College of Law walking through Grand Circus Park to get to the People Mover stop.

Now the law school is gone – it used to be right around the right field bleachers of Comerica Park, if my sense of direction isn’t too flawed. I hope Grand Circus Park stays there intact.
